l objetivo de la situación actual es un cambio hacia un manejo equilibrado y cuidadoso de la naturaleza. En cuanto a la arquitectura y la naturaleza, esto significa que se debe encontrar una manera en la que ambos puedan coexistir sin que la naturaleza sea explotada en exceso. La naturaleza está al límite de sus fuerzas y un cambio rápido es necesario.

Hemos hablado sobre ejemplos en la historia que simbolizan cómo las arquitecturas se comportan frente a la naturaleza: ¿Se imponen sobre la naturaleza, intentan dominarla (como el ejemplo de Falling Water)? ¿Logran convertirse en parte de la naturaleza? ¿Ignoran por completo a la naturaleza? Los extremos son muy diferentes y hay diversos ejemplos.

Pero, ¿cómo sería cuando la naturaleza y la arquitectura, y por tanto la acción humana, estén en armonía? ¿Es esto realmente posible? ¿No es cada intervención en la naturaleza, ya que sin intervención no habría acción, demasiado? ¿Qué resulta de estas reflexiones y discusiones para nuestra propia postura arquitectónica?

The goal of the current situation is a shift towards a balanced and careful approach to nature. When it comes to architecture and nature, this means that a way must be found for both to coexist without nature being excessively exploited. Nature is at the edge of its limits, and a quick change is necessary.

We have talked about historical examples that symbolize how architectures relate to nature: Do they place themselves above nature, seeking to dominate it (e.g., Falling Water)? Do they manage to become part of nature? Do they completely ignore nature? The extremes are far apart, and there are many different examples.

But how would it look if nature and architecture, and therefore human action, were in harmony? Is that even possible? Isn't every intervention in nature — since without any intervention there would be no action — too much? What, then, do these reflections and discussions imply for our own architectural stance?

¿Qué papel desempeña la perspectiva?

Me preocupa la cuestión de la perspectiva desde la que abordamos los problemas de los territorios turísticos sobredesarrollados del litoral español. Es consecuencia del turismo, es decir, de intereses económicos. Por supuesto, el turismo de lujo es uno de los mayores problemas y los ejemplos mencionados también muestran un cierto tipo de turismo. Pero la mayoría de los que estamos en este curso somos estudiantes de Ersamus. No somos directamente turistas, pero también viajamos aquí en el papel de turistas junto con nuestros estudios y disfrutamos de lo que se nos ofrece.

English I am concerned about the perspective from which we approach the problems of overdeveloped tourist areas on the Spanish coast. It is a consequence of tourism, i.e. economic interests. Of course, luxury tourism is one of the biggest problems and the examples mentioned also show a certain type of tourism. But most of us in this course are students of Ersamus. We are not directly tourists, but we also travel here in the role of tourists along with our studies and enjoy what is offered to us.

¿Qué cambios es posible introducir en el sistema actual?

Además, me pregunto, ¿puede una transición ecosocial de este tipo, incluso teniendo en cuenta los puntos mencionados, ser posible en absoluto si estamos en un sistema capitalista? ¿Por dónde empezar si primero hay que cambiar la mentalidad que este sistema nos ha inculcado?

English Furthermore, I ask myself, can such an ecosocial transition, even taking into account the points mentioned above, be possible at all if we are in a capitalist system? Where do we start if we first have to change the mentality that this system has instilled in us?
